Tamarind Global planned and managed this extravagant wedding at Waldorf Astoria, Ras al- Khaimah earlier this year. The agency planned and organized the entire wedding on a turnkey basis, starting from transporting 700 guests to Dubai with an impeccable arrival experience from the airport to the hotel, smooth check-ins and guest relations at the venue, event management, and execution.

The hashtag that was made for the beautiful couple was quite cool as well!

The first event took place at Basatta Desert Village which is a 30 minutes’ drive from Hotel Waldorf Astoria where the guests were staying. The evening was planned around a desert theme with tiki torches lighting up the place. Belly dancers, fire acts were some highlights of the evening.

A completely barren landscape was transformed into something out of an Arabian Night affair doing perfect justice to the destination chosen!

The following day, an afternoon Mehendi took place at Cabana featuring a gorgeous Moroccan theme. Colourful drapes and spectacular Turkish lanterns of a deep blue, vermillion, crimson pink, aqua and purple colour palette with a hint of raspberry looked stunning.

The highlight of the event was the designer mehndi artists with their gold and silver designs and singer Mansheel Gujral and band making sure that the ambience had a pepped up vibe.

The Sangeet décor was inspired by Indian musical instruments in the pathway covered in led strip lights illuminating the place and adding vibrancy to the setting.

Kunal Rai, Head, Weddings & Events, Tamarind Global explains “Working in Ras al-Khaimah is like home to us. We have a strong network of local suppliers across UAE, which truly makes the entire execution process smooth!”

The event was themed with featured colours such as deep pink, ivory white, mango yellow and gold. As far as the eye could see, there were beautiful flowers adorning the mandap. The ‘Mandap’ was made of peonies in shades of red and pink, roses, hydrangeas etc. The setting was magical with the beach acting as the backdrop to the ‘Mandap’, making the place look miraculous! This remarkable installation took 2 nights of work and turned out to steal the show.

The Indian baraat was led by the groom in a convertible Rolls Royce with singer Vidhi Sharma. The wedding stood out in its beautiful colours with traditional music, lip smacking Indian food and all the pomp and glamour which befits the Big Fat Indian Wedding!
