With the couple’s prompt request for a destination wedding in Rajasthan, narrowing the venue down to the Samode Palace in Jaipur proved to be an easy decision. Meeting the initial demand for a rustic and intimate wedding encompassed in Rajasthani culture and history, the venue was a perfect choice.
The celebrations began with flamboyant and vibrant mehndi, “rango se bhara,” as the planners would say. The guests were given a taste of the real India, with traditional Rajasthani folk dancers adding to the authenticity of event. The Haldi followed shortly after and was a phullon ki holi, a true delight for the attendees.
Later that evening came the sangeet. The couple made their grand entry, boogying their way to the dance floor, surrounded by their friends flaunting sparklers. The Samode Palace staff organized a special firework display with the couple’s names on a nearby hill, leaving the guests spellbound and completely in awe. The décor matched the regal vibe of the evening, with hues of maroon adorning all surfaces. Candles, roses, and crystal chandeliers added to the regality of the evening.
The next morning ushered in the big day, and a ‘Virushka’ style mandap set the scene for the same. The groom sang a beautiful melody for the bride as she walked in for the jaimala, and the air seemed laden with happiness.
The reception was an ivory and gold affair, with the entire place bedecked with candles- a romantic high to end the festivities on!
