The much talked about 3-day wedding extravaganza of Yash and Kripa Mehta was attended by over 400 guests including the gorgeous Alia Bhatt!

The guest welcome started right at the arrivals area of the airport, where their bags were tagged with their personalized baggage tags and transported to their respective hotels. After check-in, they were welcomed in the room with the most delightful hamper (which also reflected the spirit of Jodhpur & Rajasthan). There were over 400 guests in 3 hotels around Jodhpur. THE INVITES

The Pre-wedding Cocktail in Mumbai showcased modern decor and a lot of flowers. Therefore, a combination of blue and grey with roses pattern was chosen to give its invite a modern touch.

While the wedding in Jodhpur was a royal affair. Therefore Itcha Talreja Designs used burgundy, bottle green, deep violet and royal blue colours for the wedding invite. They also incorporated Indian elements like the bells, lanterns, royally decked up elephants, horses, and peacocks!

The events started with a “Phoolon ki holi” themed haldi for the couple followed by a Mehendi, Polo Match, Sangeet and the Wedding.

Food being a critical part of the Royalty , was imbibed in the events of the 3 days from start to finish, whether that involved sourcing local delicacies from the small towns of Gujarat and Rajasthan or Chaats and specialties from the bylanes of the cities of India.

THE KITSCHY MEHENDI

The décor at the Lunch-Mehendi at Indana Hotel Jodhpur featured multicoloured frames, colourful tensile and ceiling structures, a life-sized Nagada and lots of vibrant Dhols!

THE GLAMOUROUS SANGEET

The same evening saw a Sangeet showcasing black, gold and silver hues. Themed “Absolute trance”, the event was meant to transport you to a glitzy cocktail party!

sAXSThe mirror mosaic bar and the hanging chandeliers with golden rice lights looked magical, not to mention the exotic table and floral arrangements and the stage complete with bulbs.

Amit Mishra and Akasa Singh took the stage by storm after a sensational Family Sangeet that would put some of the award shows to shame! The parties continued into the wee hours of the morning with DJ AJ in full form.

THE REGAL WEDDING

With elephants and horses, bands & Dholwalas and men with Mashaals, this royal Baraat was followed by a breathtaking Varmaala. The Banaras Ghat themed pheras, were meant to take guests to a spiritual zone with the divine setting and Banaras style Aarti.

The 60 feet entry passage was beautified with rajnigandha, draping and golden carving meenakari frames. While the Varmaala set up was an antique wooden Jharokha.
The mandap had a water body around it in addition to a 3-layer amphitheater seating for 300 people.

Mirror mosaic and traditional frames were used in the backdrop for the amphitheater seating. Consoles with candles,diya consoles and red rose were also placed here.Untitled collage (10)
