Last week, EXP Exchange brought together top industry leaders, iconic designers and wedding professionals from all over India in a one of its kind networking evening – The Sri Lanka Night. The event took place on July 13, 2018 at Playground, JW Marriott New Delhi Aerocity- a brand new, uber chic club/lounge in the city!
Hosted by leading DMC based in Sri Lanka, Catapultt Services along with Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau, the event was aimed at showcasing Destination Sri Lanka and its offerings as a Weddings & MICE destination.
Anchored by EEMA Silver Awardee, Emcee Sonam C Chhabra, the much awaited evening began with a Welcome Address by Sanjoy K Roy, President, EEMA(Event & Entertainment Management Association) He spoke passionately about how destinations shape the destiny of events.
H.E Mrs Chitranganee Wagiswara, High Commissioner Of Sri Lanka was then felicitated on stage by entertainment kingpin and veteran Mohomed Morani, Director, Cineyug.
Following, an inspiring keynote on ‘The Winning Formula’ was delivered by Bhavnesh Sawhney, Director of Wedniksha Wedding Planners, India’s pioneering wedding planning company.
To ascertain if Destination Sri Lanka could be the next big thing in Indian Weddings, a superb panel of speakers engaged in an intriguing discussion which was moderated by Chetan Vohra, Director, Weddingline.
Panelists included Sumant Jayakrishnan, Director, Scenografia Sumant, Mahesh Shirodkar, MD, Tamarind Global, Neelabh Kapoor, Director, Experiential Weddings by Studio Neelabh, Manika Garg, VP, E-Factor Entertainment, Aarti Matoo, Director, Momentum Group, Bhavnesh Sawhney, Director, Wedniksha and Manish Fitkariwala, Director, Catapultt Services.
This was followed by popular singer Shibani Kashyap’s heartwarming performance where she belted out some of her most popular numbers. Alongside, guests sipped on cocktails and indulged in culinary delights curated by Playground.
The night was then taken over by renowned DJ and performer Sumit Sethi.
