The celebrations started towards the end of May in the sunny summers with the Mehendi, that was organized with a desi-vibrant twist. It was given a fun element with a few engaging games like- ring the bottle, float with a floatie, beer pong, giant jenga, and such, along with a live perfume making station and a coconut stall with chilled coco water. The décor was kept Indian-desi with multiple colours. The photo booth included a giant tuk-tuk and sections for Aseem’s side and Joy’s side.
The same evening, the sangeet followed, which was held at the ballroom. The event started with the engagement ceremony followed by meticulously prepared family performances. The floor opened to the guests and they danced until wee hours of the morning. The décor was rich with golds and deep reds all around.
Shortly after was the intimate haldi function organized at a gorgeous beach side lawn. The couple and friends took a dip in the ocean which added to some amazing memories and photos.
The wedding on the beach was complete with décor of pastel hues against the beautiful backdrop of blue skies and the ocean. A typical Punjabi style baraat started from the lobby right till the beach with the groom in a decorated golf buggy while the bride chose the floral-chaadar to walk in. Her outfit completely complimented the colour theme of the venue and it looked absolutely surreal while they took their pheras.
The reception was after the wedding pheras, right at the beach lawns. The directives by the couple were simple – chic, elegant and very romantic. Local entertainment added to the fun flair of the evening. The color theme was white with a hint of pale peaches and pink. The scattered gypsies, hanging florals, wooden rustic barrels, and the crates at the entry coupled with fairy lights proved to be the highlight of the evening. A ‘promise ring’ backdrop was created for the couple to be seated to watch the performances and speeches. The night saw performances by the famous Thai performers, with a musical Alcazar show, salsa dancers and few slide shows of the couple.
